Lots of work ahead
Have been working all day on EDODUK, in particular my about page, I have added some content
and incorporated photo thumbnails with the full images openable in a rather snazzy Lytebox. Local development on Mimas
now uses an Apache virtual host, pretty much essential to avoid headaches with mod_rewrite and script paths not being
properly recognised.
I have two potential web development jobs coming up, including one for my sister's fashion venture, a meeting for which has been scheduled to take place soon and another for a local inventor to market the product online. Also got a meeting on the 11th to discuss a potential IT industry placement, something I am very eager to pursue.

Adobe application accepted!
Absolutely delighted to open my inbox this evening to find my Adobe Flex application
for a free professional edition licence has been accepted. I am currently working on my second Flex project (my first being the
Flickr photo stream on the right of this page), a player stats viewer for the EA Game, Battlefield 2. I'm also contemplating
a Twitter client, speaking of which I am currently developing a very basic Twitter client in VB.net
using libcurl.

My calling is calling
Today I'm hitting the online job sites such as monster.co.uk and
thejobsmine.co.uk to see what's out there, I'd love to get a first proper
job in web development, it will be great to have an income so I can start saving towards my first car and of course a
deposit for when I get a place of my own. I've put together a rather spiffing CV in Microsoft Word, currently making
some finishing touches, you know I'm not very used to this whole 'selling yourself' thing.
In other news, last night I was experimenting with various video resolutions and compression and have uploaded a test video for my new screencast project to my channel on YouTube, I was very impressed with the results, the video inexplicably looking sharper in YouTube than in Zoom Player or Windows Media Player. Site wise, I need to fix the layout so the right sidebar doesn't overflow out of the #main div, I also need to clean up the rather messy CSS and do general site maintenance, I also need to get writing the other pages, for now at least, it's back to finding a job.
